Scholarly Journals:
Public Library of Science Journals There are several journals showcased when you open this link. Click on the most applicable journal, and then use the search box on the page to find articles pertinent to your topic.
Journal of Biological Chemistry Online Click on "Search the Archive" and do a keyword search to try to find articles pertaining to your topic.
DOAJ The Directory of Open Access Journals allows you to search for articles with no access fee.
Blackwell Synergy Blackwell Synergy provides some scholarly content free of charge. You can use the "Quick Search" on the right side to look for articles on your topic (Be sure to use scientific search terms, since these are all scholarly journals.). I don't expect you to pay for content, so just use journals that allow you free access to the articles.
Physiology.org In the same manner as the above resource, a significant portion of content from the American Physiological Society (APS) is available free of charge. Again, I don't expect you to pay for content, but you may find useful information here. If you find an article that you would have to pay for that you would really like to use for your research, let me know! There may be other ways to access the article.
eMedicine If you're searching a medical topic, this is a great resource!
News-Medical.net These are NOT journal articles, but if you're looking for current information on a medical topic, you should be able to find a source or two here.
GoogleScholar is another place to search for journal articles, but there is no guarantee that the hits will be free journal articles.
Higher Search Sponsored by Stanford University- Excellent!!
Fisher Infotrac ****NEW password will be posted in the classroom
Please let me know if you find any other sources for FREE access to journal articles. :)
